Murphy’s Construction commenced work on the Countdown Fresh Distribution Centre Project, based in Rolleston in December 2022 with our scope of work including the full carpentry package and pre-cast panel install.
On a 28,366msq site, this 11,500sqm development will provide Countdown with a purpose-built distribution facility for its fresh and perishable product lines.
The facility includes the Distribution Centre warehouse, canopy, offices, gatehouse and entry lobby, and 59+ car parks.
Sustainability is again front of mind with this development with features including rain water harvesting, energy efficient lighting and solar panels. The building is being built to achieve a 4-star Green Star Certification Rating under NZGBC.
